Does it look a little antiquated? If so, consider updating your pay scales to more accurately reflect current market trends. The FBI reported a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imcgrupo.com\/covid-19-news-fbi-reports-300-increase-in-reported-cybercrimes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">300 percent increase<\/a> in cybercrimes since the outbreak of COVID-19. Does your organization have the necessary safeguards in place to shield itself from harmful intruders? Beyond implementing a robust tech infrastructure with the integration of two-factor authentication, companies should also conduct cybersecurity training for all employees. Studies\u2014like the one conducted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cybintsolutions.com\/cyber-security-facts-stats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cybint<\/a>\u2014show that 95 percent of cybersecurity breaches are caused by human error. By educating workers on how to recognize and avoid phishing scams, these organizations can avert potential disasters from surging cyberattacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Employee fraud<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Although this may not be an idea that is top-of-mind for many company executives, businesses must be cognizant of their employees\u2019 activities while working from home. Does your organization utilize a population of independent contractors? If so, there is a chance that some of these resources may be misclassified. The incorrect categorization of independent contractors can generate substantial losses to both the federal and state governments in the form of lower tax revenues. Businesses that are found to be misclassifying ICs can face severe civil and criminal penalties\u2014which represents a significant compliance risk.
